Root and Jailbreak Detection

Root (Android) and jailbreak (iOS) detection are checks that tell an app when it is running on a device whose security has been opened up. On such a device, an app cannot trust the platform protections it normally relies on.

Apps that handle payments, identity or other sensitive functions often add these checks to make tampering and fraud harder. Testing measures how strong the checks are and whether they can be bypassed.
