Reverse Engineering (Mobile)

Reverse engineering is the process of taking a shipped app apart to understand how it works. An analyst unpacks the package, decompiles the code and reads the manifest, resources and native libraries.

It is the attacker's starting point and, in security testing, the defender's too. Reviewing an app the way a reverse engineer would is how you find the exposures that are invisible from the server side.

Mobexa tests the exact Android or iOS build you ship and maps every finding to the OWASP Mobile Top 10 and MASVS.
